Introduction
This team is dedicated towards maintaining Public Relations, Media Outreach, and other marketing issues. Hence this team may be denoted as Marketing, Media, or Public Relations.
Objectives
- To spread words about FOSS Nepal and the celebration of Software Freedom Day 2008 at Nepal
- To act as a local representative for the FOSS Nepal/SFD organization team to various identities/organizations
- To coordinate with Finance Team to opt for sponsorship
- To handle relationship with media houses of Nepal (may be abroad as well)
- To organize Press Conference and issue Press Release documentations
- To coordinate with College Representatives and coordinate with various colleges

Activities
This team adheres to various overlapped and/or parallel activities to make the celebration visible to a large domain of public/audience and hence tend to invite more and more people to the celebration.
Spreading Words About FOSS Nepal
This stage involves making voices regarding FOSS Nepal Community, its activities, Free and Open Source Software, Software Freedom Day, and other related issues. This may involve gathering and publishing article in newspapers/magazines, airing programmes related to FOSS and/or SFD in various radio programmes and making public comments on these issues.
Working with College Coordination Committees
This stage involves working in tight coordination with the College Coordination Committees(CCCs) and/or FOSS Communities at various colleges and monitoring their progresses. This may involve various rounds of meetings with the CCCs and the college administration as well of how to foster FOSS and involve maximum number of interested students in the celebration.
Organizing Press Conference
(This section needs thorough discussion). This stage involves organizing the Press Conference regarding SFD '08 and inviting media houses in order to have a consistent media coverage of the event, and as well to appeal for participation. Moreover, it is an essence to prepare the Press Release documentation to submit to the media houses.
